Golf in Tenerife

Playing golf, regardless of a place, always is an interesting and relaxing experience one wants to last longer and longer.

Close to large cities, such courses often don’t help with focusing on the game as it demands. Playing golf in Tenerife is as natural as breathing. There are nine large golf courses and a lot of smaller and less known ones. Most courses are located in the southern part of the island due to better weather and more appropriate playing conditions. In the northern part of Tenerife, where rain is quite a natural (if not to say that everyday) phenomenon, golf isn’t so popular, but an exaggeration it would be to say there’s no course in there.

The price range starts from about €30 and depends on the course and – even more significantly – on the time of year, moment of tourist season, so on and so forth. The more attractive time of tourist season it is, the more course owners want to be paid, alas. But that’s the common relation common to every tourist destination.

The most expensive the Abama course seems to be, with the price starting at €200. Nevertheless, it’s an all-inclusive offer, thereupon – if summed up with all additional features – prices at other courses wouldn’t be much different. What tourists could consider interesting, are special offers and packages. If decided to purchase tickets from special agency, guests can benefit from attractive discounts. Especially worth considering are the, so called, marathons including playing on two or more golf courses each day.
